| PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami announced on Monday to hold a big gathering in Islamabad in support of the decisions of the top judiciary so that their timely implementation could be ensured. Munawwar Hassan said that military operations were no solution to any problem. “No issue could be resolved through military operation in the country or anywhere in the world,” he said. The JI chief said the war against terror was actually a war against Islam and the Muslims. The past nine years of the so-called misadventure are a witness to the fact that no Jew could emerge as terrorist despite the killings of thousands of Palestinians, no Hindu could be branded as terrorists despite massacres of the minorities in India and Kashmir and no finger could be pointed at any Christian, he argued. Siraj alleged that the national issues were discussed at the US embassy instead of the parliament. In such a situation, he said the people should stand up against the incapable rulers. Provincial Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Shabbir Ahmad Khan also addressed the seminar. |
