Dr Kamal Said, Sh Rashid flay govt's pro-US policies

RAWALPINDI - Jammat-e-Islami (JI) candidate for by-polls of NA-55 Dr Muhammad Kamal said that those who were claiming for success in by-election would have to meet failure on February 24 as they provided nothing to the people of the constituency except inflation and unemployment. He said this while addressing a public gathering at Kirtar Pura here on Sunday. On the occasion, JI Secretary General Shamas-ur-Rehman Swati, spokesman Malik Muhammad Azam, M Hanif Chaudhry, Zabeer Ahmed Khan, M Waqs Khan, Syed Arshad Farooq and Tariq Adil were also present. Dr Muhammad Kamal, while speaking, said that the rulers had gone ahead from former dictator Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf in pursuing American policies. They (rulers) had put the stability and integrity of the country on stake to come into the good books of White House, he lamented. The rising price hike, unemployment and terrorism were the major problems of today which had made the lives of poor people from bad to worse while, unfortunately, the rulers were not taking any solid steps for the well being of the masses, said adding that PPP-led government had broken all the previous records of inflation by swelling up oil prices time and again. “I wonder on those, who forced the masses for lining up for getting food items such as sugar and flour, that how they are urging people to vote for them once again” he added. The people of Rawalpindi were mature and had recognised the cheaters and looters, he said adding that this time they would not be deceived again.
